West Long Branch
On Tuesday, June 16, 1908, the West Long Branch section of Eatontown Township became the independent Borough of West Long Branch, sprawling 2.9 square miles and holding a population of 2,218. Students in K-8 are educated by the West Long Branch Public Schools, and continue their high school educations at Shore Regional High school or affiliate Monmouth County Vocational School locations. Shore Regional High School is a regional high school that serves students from Monmouth Beach, Sea Bright and Oceanport Collegiately, West Long Branch is home to a satellite campus of Brookdale Community College and Monmouth University, a 155-acre private university established in 1933, with 25 states and 28 foreign countries represented. Residents and students alike enjoy a short drive or bike ride to Long Branch beach, and its close proximity to both Asbury Park and Red Bank.
